Qualifications

• LPN diploma or Associates degree in Surgical Technology is required.
• One year of experience as a LPN or Surgical Technologist.
• Experience assisting OB/GYN procedures preferred.
• Under RN supervision, provides nursing care and surgical assistance in maternity services.

Responsibilities

• Assist in nursing care and surgical services in the maternity area.
• Support OB/GYN procedures with focus on patient comfort, data collection and documentation.
• Follow established operating room and obstetrical practice standards.

Experience assisting with OB/GYN procedures (preferred)

This position, under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse, is responsible for assisting in the nursing care and surgical services in the maternity services area including the provision of patient care necessary for comfort, hygiene, data collection, and documentation. Activities are based on accepted standards of operating room and obstetrical practice and are performed within the scope of education, training, and experience.
