Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking an Obstetrical Surgical Technician for Labor and Delivery in Grove City, Ohio. This part-time role supports nursing staff and surgeons in OB procedures and patient care delivery.

Responsibilities include setting up for deliveries and assisting with recovery while documenting data under RN supervision. A Surgical Tech or PN graduate with BLS is expected, with strong communication and tech skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Operating Room Technicians/Surgical Technicians program.
• If graduate of a school of practical nursing: Current license in good standing to practice as a practical nurse in the State of Ohio.
• BLS healthcare provider training required.
• Computer/technology skills required.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Under the Direction of the Nurse: Vital signs, height, weight, input/output, and other patient data.
• Respond to patients' needs, requests in a timely manner; anticipate the needs of the surgeon and assist in all activities for providing patient care during surgical intervention.
• Set‑up for vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections and other OB related surgeries as directed after individualized instruction.
• Assist with patients recovering from vaginal delivery or cesarean section under the supervision of an RN.
• Record all gathered data and document patient data accurately and completely.
