Job summary

Mount Carmel is seeking an OB Technician to assist under an RN, providing defined treatments and patient care in a setting attentive to individual needs. The role includes setting up for OB surgeries and supporting patient recovery under supervision.

Requirements include graduation from OR/Surgical Technician programs, strong communication, and BLS certification. The position offers competitive benefits and relocation assistance where applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Operating Room Technicians/Surgical Technicians program.
• Effective Communication Skills.
• BLS healthcare provider training required

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and assists in all activities for providing for patient care needs during surgical intervention.
• Sets-up for vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections and other OB related surgeries as directed after individualized instruction.
• Assists with patients recovering from vaginal delivery or cesarean section under the supervision of a RN.
• Records all gathered data.
