Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking an OB Technician to support surgical teams under RN guidance. The role involves setting up for vaginal deliveries and OB surgeries, assisting during procedures, and documenting data. It requires completion of a Surgical Technician program and BLS certification, with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Operating Room Technicians/Surgical Technicians program.
• BLS healthcare provider training required.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and assists in all activities for providing for patient care needs during surgical intervention.
• Sets-up for vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections and other OB related surgeries as directed after individualized instruction.
• Assists with patients recovering from vaginal delivery or cesarean section under the supervision of a RN.
• Records all gathered data.
