Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks an Obsolescence Management Program Representative for the COLUMBIA Program Office in Groton, CT. You will monitor, track, and resolve obsolescence across 120+ electronic and control systems, coordinating with engineering, purchasing, and Navy partners to maintain program stability.

You will collaborate with the VIRGINIA Program Office, suppliers, and program leadership to develop mitigation plans, support redesign efforts, and deliver timely status updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain program metrics to track progress, performance and risk across obsolescence cases.
• Coordinate POAM updates and status briefs with engineering, purchasing and VIRGINIA Program counterparts.
• Integrate cross-class mitigation plans with the VIRGINIA Program Office and related stakeholders.
• Engage suppliers to remove roadblocks for redesign, qualification testing and delivery.
• Coordinate with contracts, finance and Navy partners to ensure timely funding aligned with mitigation needs.
• Contribute to PMT brief development and present high-risk case updates.
• Support biannual enterprise obsolescence reviews with the Obsolescence Coordinator and teams.
• Travel periodically to EB facilities, Washington Engineering Office, and vendor sites.
