Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat seeks an Obsolescence Management Program Representative to support the COLUMBIA Program. You will monitor, track, and execute resolutions for over 120 electronic and control systems at obsolescence risk, coordinating with the Obsolescence Coordinator, engineering, and Navy stakeholders.

You will help shape cross-program alignment, liaise with suppliers, and support redesign and development as systems evolve, with travel to EB facilities and partner sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; relevant engineering or technical field preferred.
• Extensive willingness/ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain program metrics; track progress, performance, and risk for obsolescence cases.
• Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, and VIRGINIA Program counterparts to update POAMs and briefs.
• Integrate cross-class mitigation plans with the VIRGINIA Program Office and partners.
• Engage suppliers to remove roadblocks and enable redesign, qualification testing, and delivery.
• Coordinate funding alignment with contracts, finance, and Navy partners.
• Contribute to monthly PMT brief and update high-risk cases.
• Assist in biannual enterprise obsolescence reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Travel to EB facilities, Washington Engineering Office, and vendor sites as required.
