Job summary

Banner Health’s University Medical Center Phoenix seeks an RN for the Outpatient Observation Unit in Phoenix, AZ. The role supports patients not requiring inpatient admission, using a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and a mix of LPN model.

Day shift hours are 7am-7:30pm; self-scheduling is available. A $10,000 sign-on bonus applies to eligible RNs with at least 12 months of RN experience and a 1-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice. BLS certification is required.
• Banner Registry and Travel acute care positions require a minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and plan of care.
• Implement and coordinate nursing care according to physician orders and policies.
• Document care and patient responses in the medical record.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
