Job summary

Apple Inc. seeks a UX and UI Software Engineer for Observability in Seattle to craft the next generation of observability experiences for Apple services at scale.

You will build UI tooling and dashboards using React, Grafana, and related observability tech, transforming telemetry into actionable insights for developers and operators. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of experience, strong UX principles, and a track record delivering performant, accessible interfaces.

Qualifications

• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and UI component libraries.
• Experience building UIs with React.
• Experience using Grafana and creating dashboards.
• Experience monitoring applications with observability tools or services.
• Experience with PromQL.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry is desirable.
• Deep understanding of core CS concepts including data structures, algorithms, and concurrent programming.
• Deep understanding of UX design principles and best practices.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to learn and apply new technologies and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to comprehend user requirements and business objectives.
• Create interactive prototypes to test and refine design concepts.
• Optimize user interfaces for performance and accessibility.
• Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to guide design enhancements.
