Job summary

HeadHR is seeking an experienced Telemetry / Observability Engineer in New York to design and implement Grafana-based monitoring and data flows. You will configure data sources, build dashboards, and help automate provisioning while collaborating with engineers and stakeholders across the organization.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in related roles, solid knowledge of metrics/logs/traces, and strong scripting skills in Bash/Python, with fluent English and a proactive mindset for international

Qualifications

• 4+ years in application development, engineering, observability, monitoring, or related role.
• Strong understanding of metrics, logs, traces and data visualization best practices.
• Experience configuring data sources from Prometheus, InfluxDB, or AppDynamics.
• Hands-on Grafana experience and Grafana Alerting.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and provisioning.
• Proficient in JSON; scripting with Bash/Python.
• Fluent English; teamwork in international projects.

Responsibilities

• Participate in team planning and contribute improvements
• Collaborate with technical experts and stakeholders
• Develop and maintain observability solutions and data flows
• Configure and manage data sources for monitoring and reporting
• Design and enhance Grafana dashboards (panels, rows, variables, templating)
• Troubleshoot issues within your area of responsibility
• Support automation and provisioning with code-based approaches
• Ensure dashboards are clear, reliable, and user-focused
