Temporal is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Observability Engineering to lead and scale our telemetry platform across multi-tenant environments. You will own the roadmap, drive architectural decisions, and mentor engineers to deliver reliable observability at scale.

You will partner with product and SDK teams to expose robust metrics, traces, and workflow diagnostics for customers, while controlling costs and ensuring live-site reliability.

Competenze

• Proven experience leading engineering teams that build and operate observability, monitoring, or telemetry platforms at scale.
• 7+ years in people management with ownership of delivery and live-site outcomes.
• Experience hiring, leveling, and performance management.

Mansioni

• Own the observability roadmap and delivery across a multi-tenant service.
• Lead, hire, and grow a high-ownership engineering team.
• Own ingestion, storage, query, and visualization for high-cardinality telemetry.
• Own alerting and incident-response tooling end to end.
• Partner with Product and SDK teams on telemetry exposed to customers.
• Own the unit economics of observability and manage vendor relationships.
• Collaborate with Eng, Product, Security, and Support to align priorities.
