Job summary

Truist Financial is seeking an Observability Lead-Sr. Infrastructure Engineer to define, implement, and scale enterprise observability.

You will lead metrics, logs, traces and telemetry pipelines using OpenTelemetry, while acting as a forward deployed partner with engineering, SRE, and platform teams to tailor solutions for production environments. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7+ years in infrastructure engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud, network, storage, computing, and middleware.
• Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry and observability tooling.

Responsibilities

• Define and scale enterprise observability capabilities across complex environments.
• Lead metrics, logs, traces, and telemetry pipelines using OpenTelemetry.
• Partner with engineering, SRE, and platform teams to deliver tailored observability.
• Move from reactive monitoring to proactive, intelligence-driven observability.
• Influence architecture and embed observability into the SDLC.
• Drive MTTR reductions and enable faster root-cause analysis.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to infrastructure teams.
• Translate field learnings into reusable platform patterns.
• Ensure solutions are scalable and compliant with governance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align observability with business objectives.
