Job summary

ADT is seeking an Observability Engineer to scale our infrastructure, ensuring high availability and reliability. You will enable engineering teams with actionable insights and push for predictive issue detection.

Responsibilities include Dynatrace deployment, instrumentation of microservices, dashboards, synthetic monitoring, and CI/CD integration. Strong Dynatrace expertise and cloud/container experience are required; excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in DevOps, SRE or systems admin with observability focus.
• Hands-on Dynatrace deployment and lifecycle management.
• Cloud environments (GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Scripting in Python, Bash, Go or PowerShell for automation.
• Incident management with ITSM integration (ServiceNow, Jira).
• Effective communication with engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own Dynatrace OneAgent, ActiveGates, and integrations across environments.
• Instrument microservices, databases, and apps for full-stack visibility.
• Create dashboards and intelligent alerts to reduce fatigue and trigger on degraded UX.
• Design and maintain synthetic checks for critical business transactions.
• Leverage Davis AI to assist incident response in bottleneck resolution.
• Integrate observability into CI/CD pipelines for performance gates.
• Define and report on SLI/SLOs to uphold reliability.
