Job summary

Ceres FTS is seeking a Dynatrace Engineer to join a team building automatic and intelligent observability across cloud and hybrid environments. The role focuses on Dynatrace SaaS, migration from Managed to SaaS, APM, DQL, and Grail Logs with dashboards for critical business processes.

The engineer will develop end-to-end monitoring, create alerts, and enable enterprise observability aligning with business priorities, using Dynatrace infrastructure monitoring and data analysis tools.

Qualifications

• 8+ years proven success overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems and applications.
• 5+ years of experience in Dynatrace, synthetic URL monitoring, installing agents, forwarders, APIs, performance monitoring tool alerts, dashboards and data trend analysis
• 3+ years’ experience leveraging Dynatrace SaaS, DQL, and Logs on Grail
• Experienced at developing Dynatrace dashboards for business processes, preferably leveraging Dynatrace Business Events
• Experienced in migrating from Dynatrace Managed to SaaS
• Experience with recommending baseline monitoring thresholds, KPIs and SLAs
• Experience with gathering and organizing large amounts of data for instrumentation into an Enterprise monitoring solution

Responsibilities

• Develop dashboards for critical business processes leveraging Dynatrace dashboards and/or Dynatrace Business Events on SaaS
• Assist with planning and execution of migration from Dynatrace Managed to SaaS/Azure
• Develop performance monitoring tool alerts, dashboards and data trend analysis for infrastructure and application monitoring
• Assist in building out Technical Operations Center event management and systems monitoring capability
• Develop and maintain end-to-end Dynatrace performance monitoring for applications, workloads and environments
• Enable event management and analytics to address triage and resolution of events
• Develop and operate the infrastructure, processes, and automation that enables observability of critical assets
• Analyze performance data and identify root cause of negative trends
• Provide monitoring KPI/SLA recommendations and tool infrastructure guidance
• Integrate multiple system alerts into a single pane of glass monitoring solution
• Utilize customer service skills to manage tasks and organize data for instrumentation
