Job summary

Orion Innovation is seeking a Dynatrace Engineer to lead observability initiatives across applications and infrastructure. You will implement Dynatrace OneAgent and ActiveGate, configure dashboards, and standardize monitoring across CI/CD pipelines.

Candidate will collaborate with DevOps and application teams, develop SLIs/SLOs, and drive end-to-end visibility. A strong background in Dynatrace, cloud/hybrid environments, and scripting is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) or more years of enterprise monitoring or observability experience.
• Three (3) or more years of hands-on Dynatrace administration and implementation.
• Experience supporting cloud and hybrid enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience leading customer/application onboarding workshops and monitoring discovery sessions.
• Experience deploying and supporting Dynatrace ActiveGate architecture.
• Hands-on experience implementing Synthetic Monitoring and Real User Monitoring (RUM).
• Experience onboarding cloud-native and hybrid applications into Dynatrace.

Responsibilities

• Observability Assessment: assess current monitoring, logging, and observability environment.
• Dynatrace Implementation: install, configure, and administer Dynatrace OneAgent and ActiveGate; dashboards and alerting.
• Application Instrumentation: instrument pilot applications; end-to-end telemetry validation.
• DevOps & CI/CD Integration: integrate Dynatrace with CI/CD pipelines; set markers and quality gates.
• Dashboards & Operational Metrics: develop dashboards; define SLIs, SLOs, KPIs, alerts.
• Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: create guides and run knowledge transfer sessions.
• Additional Project Responsibilities: onboarding workshops; RUM and Synthetic Monitoring; Dynatrace ActiveGate deployment; cloud workloads onboarding; Davis AI configurations.
