Job summary

NYU Langone Health's NYU Grossman School of Medicine in Manhattan seeks a Practice Manager (FGP) to oversee administrative and clinical operations for OBGYN, Maternal Fetal Medicine and Ultrasound.

The role requires 5–10 years in healthcare operations, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong leadership and communication skills. You will manage staff, scheduling, billing, and policy implementation in a complex academic medical setting.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years minimum experience in healthcare operations with emphasis on physician practice operations.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Manager experience required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize effectively and handle shifting priorities professionally.
• Strong workflow analysis and business process integration skills.
• Ability to think systemically and understand the implications of policies and practices.
• Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action.

• Lead others for implementation of projects and organizational workflow redesign.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with FGP OBGYN management to implement, optimize and monitor operational performance of front end activities, including customer service and appointment scheduling, and to create consistent standards.
• Manage daily operations of clinical and administrative MFM and Ultrasound staff; review tasks, assign priorities, and allocate resources; evaluate performance and address issues.
• Establish office procedures and train staff; ensure cross-training and coverage for administrative activities; plan and coordinate interrelated activities.
• Assist in implementing new technology in physician practices; address physician concerns and IT issues; track issues as new physicians join.
• Oversee Revenue Cycle management: review charge submission processes; monitor weekly charges; discuss indicators in routine staff meetings.
• Perform other general administrative duties to support practice operations and improve processes; maintain organized files; compile and report data monthly.
• Determine explanations to complex calls and issues; improve workflows and ensure adherence to standards.
