Job summary

Atrius Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support an OBGYN team in eastern Massachusetts. Under supervision, you will assist clinicians with routine procedures, prep for exams, and ensure accurate EMR updates to support patient care.

You will be a key member of the clinic, handling patient flow, vital signs, lab prep, and communication with patients to improve the overall care experience while maintaining HIPAA and patient privacy standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Associate degree in medical assisting or completion of a medical assistant certification program preferred.
• BLS certification strongly preferred; ACLS may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provides efficient flow of patients to optimize appointment availability.
• Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms; measures vital signs.
• Assists clinicians with routine clinical procedures and tests; prepares patients for exams.
• Ensures EMR is updated with medical information, test results and encounters.
• Maintains patient information, reconciles medications, and supports patient scheduling.
