Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• BLS certification is required for healthcare providers.
• Experience with electronic medical records systems is expected.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• 1 year of experience in a clinical setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam, obtaining vital signs and pertinent health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures with aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assists physicians with procedures such as pelvic exams and testing.
• Administers routine medications under physician orders or standing protocols.
• Coordinates tests and referrals and relays information to patients and staff.
• Maintains clear communication with the health care team to ensure smooth clinic flow.
• Performs basic and advanced clinical support tasks under supervision as required.
• Demonstrates ability to provide age-appropriate care and document findings.
