Inova Health OBGYN in Ballston is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant 1 for a full-time day shift (Monday–Friday). The role supports patient flow, performs basic clinical tasks, and assists clinicians to ensure smooth examinations and care delivery.

Competenze

High School diploma or GED is required.
Previous experience in a medical group practice or similar setting preferred.
BLS certification (American Heart Association) within 6 months of hire.

Mansioni

Performs general patient care: check schedules, assist with examinations, record blood pressure/height/weight, accompany patients to exam rooms, assist clinicians and nurses, prepare patients for examinations, convey instructions to patients/families, answer calls and provide information.
Performs pre-visit planning as indicated by physician to support vulnerable patient populations.
Handles clerical tasks: manages patient records, obtains lab/x-ray reports, completes forms, organizes medical records, scans information into charts, and educates patients on testing requirements.
Maintains clinical environment: cleans rooms and equipment, restocks supplies, follows sterile techniques and universal precautions, assists with point-of-care testing and phlebotomy as needed.
Communicates patient or staff issues to the practice manager and participates in clinic huddles and quality improvement initiatives.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
