Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for the AHNMG OB/GYN division in Georgia. 40 hours/week with 7:30a–5p/8a–12noon Fridays. Salary range $22.90–$34.35 per hour, benefits eligible.

You will room patients, document vitals, assist physicians, perform venipuncture, and administer vaccines. Qualifications include a medical assistant program or equivalent military clinical training, with at least 2 years of MA experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vital signs, med reconciliation, medical history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs venipuncture and POCT per standing orders; completes waived lab tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines safely.
• Handles scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorizations.
• Maintains clean, stocked work areas and equipment.
• Demonstrates effective communication and teamwork.
