Job summary

Advocate Health in Georgia is seeking a Medical Assistant for the AHNMG OB/GYN: Faculty - Obstetrics/Gynecology department. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week with schedule Monday–Thursday 7:30a–5p and Friday 8a–12noon.

Responsibilities include vital signs, history taking, labs, vaccines, rooming patients, and coordination with providers. Requires MA program completion and current BLS; benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military training in lieu of MA program.
• Two years of clinical practice experience as a Medical Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and hospital policies.
• Performs rooming, vital signs, history, screens, and medication reviews.
• Assists with procedures and lab duties including venipuncture and POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines following proper protocols.
• Maintains a clean, stocked work environment and communicates effectively.
