Atrium Health Navicent in Macon, GA, seeks a Medical Assistant II for the AHNMG OB/GYN: Faculty department. The role supports patient intake, vitals, history, medication reconciliation, screenings, and coordination with the provider to ensure quality obstetric/gynecologic care in a fast-paced clinic.

This full-time position requires a High School diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (or equivalent military training), and at least two years of clinical MA

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or military training per DD214 in lieu of program.
• Two years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant.
• Knowledge of age-specific patient care and growth/development.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and policies.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vitals, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties including venipuncture and POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines.
• Performs other duties: refills, authorizations, scheduling, referrals.
• Maintains clean environment and stock levels.
• May train teammates.
• May serve on a committee.
