Job Details

Prestigious Physician Group in Atlanta looking for a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant. This is a temporary to permanent position, pay is based upon experience.

Job Type: Contract/temporary to permanent
Location: Dunwoody, GA
Hours: M-F, 8a-5p
Pay: $21-22/hr

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, assure patient flow runs smoothly and efficiently, escort patients to discharge counter.
• Manage a small team of medical assistants.
• Obtain patient history; assess/triage patient, measure vital signs, and record information on chart.
• Explain treatment procedures and prepare patient and exam room for examination.
• Position instruments and equipment and hand to physician as directed. Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after use.
• Assist physician with any procedures.
• Perform dosage calculations for administering medications.
• Perform injections and vaccinations as needed.
• Complete medical chart to include medical services rendered, test results, and supplies used.
• Perform patient call backs, arrange referrals and testing, and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Assist registration staff and perform additional clerical duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Certification from accredited program for Medical Assisting.
• Two or more years of Primary care or OBGYN medical assisting experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to accurately read and write medical terminology.
• CPR certification.
• Basic computer skills including familiarity with electronic medical records (ECW).
• Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
