Job summary

Advocate Health's 02250 GCMG Shelby OBGYN: Shelby - Obstetrics/Gynecology is seeking an LPN for full-time clinical support. You will prepare patients, assist with procedures, and administer medications in a busy OB/GYN setting.

Schedule: Mon-Thu 8-5, Fri 7-2; travel between offices required. Requires LPN license with BLS within 45 days; no prior experience required. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state, and
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days if required.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• No experience required; willingness to travel between offices.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam, records vital signs and health information.
• Performs lab procedures using aseptic technique and infection control.
• Assists physicians with OB/GYN procedures and surgeries as needed.
• Administers medications per physician orders and manages IV therapy within scope.
• Educates patients on tasks, treatments and follow-up care.
• Communicates updates to physicians and documents patient status accurately.
• Performs advanced clinical tasks under supervision as required.
• Maintains exam rooms, labs and supplies; ensures proper equipment function.
• Participates in quality improvement and care management initiatives.
