Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time OB/GYN clinic role. The position supports exam prep, patient education, and basic clinical tasks within a busy outpatient setting.

You will hold an LPN license, complete a Practical Nursing program, and obtain BLS within 45 days. The role offers a sign-on bonus eligibility and a 40-hour workweek, 8:00–5:00, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program is required.
• LPN license issued by the state is required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification must be obtained within 45 days.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms patients, obtaining vitals and updating health information.
• Assists physicians with procedures and surgeries in the OB/GYN setting.
• Administers medications under physician orders and manages IV therapy within scope.
• Provides basic patient education and coordinates referrals as needed.
• Maintains accurate documentation and communicates patient conditions to the health team.
• Performs lab procedures and specimen collection following aseptic technique.
• Maintains exam rooms and equipment, stocking supplies and cleaning as required.
• Supports care management and quality improvement initiatives.
