Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Charlotte OB/GYN clinic. The role involves preparing patients for exams, performing basic lab procedures, and assisting physicians with procedures in a busy obstetrics/gynecology setting.

The position is full-time, with a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering pay in the range of $24.10 to $36.15 per hour and benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, Windows navigation, email, and EMR experience.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures (strep test, cultures) using aseptic technique.
• Assists physicians with procedures and surgeries such as pelvic exams and colposcopy.
• Administers medications under physician orders, including IV therapy within scope.
• Provides patient education and coordinates follow-up exams and referrals.
• Maintains clean exam rooms and organizes supplies; supports imaging and lab areas.
