Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Medical Assistant for a part-time role at Piedmont OBGYN: Steele Creek. 16 hours per week with a day shift Mon-Fri. Pay range listed as $21.85 - $32.80 per hour.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, charting, phlebotomy, POCT, vaccines, and scheduling. Minimum MA credentials and BLS may apply. Team environment with attention to safety, patient care, and compliance with CLIA and practice standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Ability to perform routine and complex MA tasks within scope.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records systems (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows policies for patient care.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vitals, med history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties: venipuncture, specimen handling, POCT.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handles refills, authorizations, scheduling, and referrals.
• Cross-trained to related clinic duties within MA scope.
• Maintains clean, stocked work environment and proper equipment.
• Delivers age-appropriate care with effective communication.
