Job summary

Advocate Health's Charlotte site seeks a Medical Assistant in the 02250 GCMG Sexual Health – Obstetrics/Gynecology department. This full-time role (40 hrs/wk) offers a 7:30a–4:00p schedule and a sign-on bonus eligibility based on criteria.

Compensation ranges from $22.90 to $34.35 per hour, with health benefits and career growth opportunities. The MA will perform vitals, medical history reviews, labs, preventive screenings, and assist clinicians with procedures, while maintaining patient safety

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or DD214 in lieu of formal MA training.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification may be required.
• Experience with lab duties and patient rooming activities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Medical Assistant scope of practice and maintain competency.
• Perform rooming tasks including vitals, history, and screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures and coordinate lab duties.
• Administer medications and vaccines per safety protocols.
• Handle appointments, referrals, and insurance authorizations as needed.
• Maintain clean, stocked work areas and report equipment issues.
