Job summary

Amgen in Columbia, SC is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (Obesity) to serve as the primary scientific resource for Opinion Leaders, PHDMs and healthcare providers. This field-based role reports to the Obesity MSL Field Director and aligns with Amgen's Medical function to advance the obesity pipeline and patient outcomes.

You will engage investigators, discuss data, support sponsored research where appropriate, lead congress activities, train speakers, and collaborate across One Amgen teams

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree is required or implied as equivalent to senior medical affairs expertise.
• Experience in Medical Affairs with a strong scientific/clinical background.
• Ability to build relationships with external stakeholders and maintain scientific acumen.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary scientific/clinical resource to OLs, PHDMs and healthcare providers.
• Execute Amgen Medical function and product strategy led by MSL leadership.
• Engage with investigators and sites to support the obesity pipeline.
• Communicate scientific data of value, outcomes and economic data to stakeholders.
• Lead/conduct in-depth scientific exchange in compliance with standards.
• Support sponsored research and study leadership as appropriate.
• Lead speaker training and participate in congress activities.
• Collaborate across One Amgen teams to coordinate activities.

Education

Doctorate degree

Master’s degree and 3 years of Medical Affairs experience

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Medical Affairs experience
