Optimal Staffing is seeking an OBD Core Calibration Engineer to develop, validate, and deliver production-ready onboard diagnostics calibrations across gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and battery electric vehicles. You will work with program, commodity, compliance, and simulation teams to ensure robust diagnostics meet schedules and regulatory requirements.

The role requires 2+ years in powertrain/OBD calibration, proficiency with ETAS/ATI, and strong data analysis skills.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, automotive, or computer engineering, or computer science.
• At least 2 years of powertrain calibration and/or OBD calibration experience, including program delivery through launch and quality feedback.
• Understanding of combustion engine operation and basic engine and powertrain control systems.
• Understanding of worldwide OBD regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with calibration tools, including ETAS and/or ATI.
• Strong data analysis skills, including knowledge of statistics, and the ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, written communication, and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks in parallel, with an interest in gasoline, diesel, hybrid electric, and battery electric technologies. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to remote locations for development testing as needed.
