Job summary

Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies is seeking a Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) to lead shift operations in the Women’s Triage Unit. The CANM collaborates with Nursing Operations Managers to guide nursing coverage, patient flow, and quality outcomes in a high-acuity obstetric setting.

Responsibilities include staffing, patient care assignment, and ensuring a safe, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current licensed RN in Florida or NLC.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in Emergency, OB/GYN, or L&D.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations within the clinical setting to ensure high-quality care and optimal patient flow.
• Coordinate patient care assignments and staffing based on acuity and team member skills.
• Monitor patient status, collaborate with supervisors and care coordinators to achieve outcomes.
• Provide frontline support and resources to staff and providers; participate in safety huddles and change initiatives.
• Ensure regulatory readiness and appropriate allocation of staff and meals/relief as needed.
