Job summary

Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies is seeking a Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) to lead night shifts in the Labor and Delivery Unit. The CANM guides clinical operations, staff assignments, patient care, and patient flow for a Level III perinatal center.

The role emphasizes collaboration, quality outcomes, and a high level of nursing expertise. Ideal candidates hold a BSN (preferred), Florida RN licensure or NLC, and BLS certification with at least one year of OB/GYN

Qualifications

• BSN preferred for nursing leadership role.
• Florida RN license or NLC required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in OB/GYN or L&D.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations to ensure high-quality care and patient flow.
• Coordinate staffing assignments to meet acuity and team skills.
• Support patient care with physician orders and policies.
• Enhance patient experience through Nurse Leader rounds and issue resolution.
• Foster collaboration with nursing operations management and ANOM.
