Job summary

Mercy Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking an OB Technician to provide patient care and support to the obstetric unit. Under the direction of nursing and medical staff, you will assist with clinical procedures, clerical tasks, and newborn care as part of a collaborative team.

This full-time night/holiday/weekend role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification, and prior surgical technology experience or completion of a surgical tech program.

Qualifications

• Education: High-School Diploma or GED is required.
• Non-certified technologist position; CST not active.
• May have attended and completed an accredited surgical tech program.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and clerical support in the OB unit.
• Assist in surgical tech tasks and clinical procedures.
• May take call and support newborn, obstetric, and postpartum care.
