Job summary

Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis, MO is seeking a part-time OB Technician to provide patient care, assist with clerical tasks, and support newborns, childbearing and postpartum patients during the night shift. Location: Mercy Hospital South; Schedule: Part-Time 24 hours/week; Shift: Night Shift 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM.

Requires a High-School Diploma or GED and English proficiency. BLS certification is required; experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred or deemed competent by leadership.

Qualifications

• High-School Diploma or GED required.
• Non-certified technologist position; proof of education may be requested.
• American Heart Association BLS required.
• Surgical Technology experience required or deemed competent by department leadership.
• Must understand English both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and clerical support for OB patients.
• Assist in surgical procedures and postnatal care as assigned.
• Support birth certificates, charting, and patient transport tasks as needed.
• Maintain calm, efficient performance during obstetrical emergencies.
