Job summary

Mercy Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO seeks an OB Technician to support patient care, nursing and surgical teams during nights, holidays and weekends. You will perform clinical procedures and non-clinical tasks, assist with records, bed turnover, and obstetric care for newborns and mothers.

Evidence of education (HS diploma or GED) and Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. English proficiency is mandatory; prior surgical tech experience or unit competency will be evaluated.

Qualifications

• Education: High-School Diploma or GED required.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Experience: Surgical Technology experience required at hire or completion of a unit-based competency.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and clerical support under supervision.
• Assist in surgical and obstetric procedures and maintain records.
• Support nursing team with ADLs and newborn care as assigned.
• Maintain safety and unit standards; communicate effectively with the team.
