Job summary

Baptist Health in Little Rock, AR seeks an Obstetrical Tech to assist during and after cesarean sections and to support patients with daily living activities in Labor & Delivery. You will work under RN supervision, collaborate with unit staff, and perform clerical duties as needed.

The role involves helping with use and care of special equipment, assisting antepartum and delivered patients, with a consistent day shift from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm and a bi-weekly 72-hour schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Surgical Technology School preferred.

Responsibilities

Summary

In a coordinated approach, the individual is responsible for assisting during/after surgery for cesarean sections, assisting patients with activities of daily living, use and care of special equipment in Labor & Delivery and assisting the RN/LPN in the care of antepartum/laboring/delivered patients. The Obstetrical Tech is responsible for certain clerical and reception duties. All duties are performed in a collaborative approach with unit personnel and under the direction and supervision of the RN.
