Premier Health’s Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, OH is hiring a Surgical Technologist for the Labor and Delivery unit. The role is a full-time night-shift position (7:00 pm–7:30 am) with orientation, supporting the scrub role and ensuring sterile supplies are ready for procedures.

Requires OB Tech program completion, Family Birth Center orientation, CPR and NRP, and Nurse Assistant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of the OB Surgical Technologist program is required.
• Family Birth Center education and orientation completed.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• NRP certification is required.

Responsabilités

• Scrub role during surgical procedures in Labor and Delivery.
• Ensure sterile supplies, instrumentation, and equipment availability.
• Assist with basic patient care activities in Obstetrics and Nursery.
• Collaborate with RN, anesthesia staff, surgeons and other professionals.

*MUST BE ABLE TO ATTEND A FULL TIME 12 WEEK ORIENTATION ON DAY SHIFT*Position: Patient Care TechDepartment: Labor and DeliveryShift: 7:00 pm-7:30 am Full Time Nights 36 hours a week, 72 hours per pay periodFacility: Atrium Medical CenterThe Surgical Obstetrical Technologist performs technical functions to assist in the delivery of patient care within the Operating Room in the Labor and Delivery area. The OB Tech provides assistance to other health care providers such as Registered Nurses, anesthesia staff, surgeons and other professionals. The primary role of the OB Tech is to perform in the “scrub” role during surgical procedures and by assuring availability of all sterile supplies, instrumentation, and equipment. Other areas of responsibility include assisting with basic patient care activities in Obstetrics and Nursery.Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent with additional in-service education in Family Birth Center required. Completion of Family Birth Center education and orientation required.Certification: Current CPR certification. Completion of the OB Surgical Technologist program under the direction of the OB/GYN Department. NRP CertificationExperience: Nurse Assistant experience preferred
