Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks an OB Surgical Technologist to support obstetric and operating room teams. Under the supervision of an RN, you will prepare the Delivery and Operating Rooms with necessary equipment and assist with patient care activities.

You'll maintain aseptic technique, assist with draping and instrument setup, perform routine perioperative tasks, help with specimen transport and charting, and support turnover between cases.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an approved Surgical Technology program or equivalent experience.
• Registration with Virginia Board of Medicine as Surgical Technologist required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Delivery and OR rooms with instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintain aseptic technique and assist during obstetrics procedures.
• Drape patients, assist surgical team, and document care in EMR.
• Assist with venipuncture, starting IVs, vital signs, and newborn care as needed.
• Support room turnover and stock supplies; ensure a safe, clean environment.
