Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking an OB Technician to provide defined treatments and general patient care under the direction of an RN. The role supports obstetric procedures and delivery-related care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Operating Room Technicians/Surgical Technicians program or graduate of a school of practical nursing.
• Current license in good standing to practice as a practical nurse in Ohio.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills.
• Basic computer/technology skills.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Assist RN during surgical procedures and OB-related surgeries as directed.
• Prepare for vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections per instruction.
• Assist patients recovering from delivery under RN supervision.
• Accurately document patient data and procedures.
