Job summary

The OB Technician role requires assisting during vaginal and cesarean deliveries under physician and nurse supervision. You will help set up the operating room, prep and transport patients for surgery, adjust lights/equipment, and hand instruments to surgeons in a fast-paced OB setting.

Must have 1 year as a surgical tech or completed surgical tech program, plus BLS. Night shifts are 3x12 hours over a 13-week duration, with 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) and OB tech experience is essential.

Qualifications

• One year as a surgical tech or completion of a surgical tech program.
• OB tech experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• Shift is 3x12 night with 12-hour shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM).

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of patient care during intra-operative period.
• Help set up operating room and transport patients for surgery.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and assistants; count sponges, needles, and instruments.
• Maintain aseptic technique and knowledge of medical terminology.
