Job summary

Nemours-Children is seeking an Obstetrics Technologist (OB Tech) to assist surgical teams by maintaining a sterile environment and supplying instruments and equipment during operative procedures. This rotating shift position requires flexibility across days, nights, or weekend rotations.

The ideal candidate will be a certified surgical technologist with a minimum of one year in Labor and Delivery, hold BLS, and complete state clearances on hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery – Certified (NCCT).
• DE Clearances required and maintained for employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required and maintained.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Labor and Delivery Surgical Tech.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile field and prepares sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
• Partners with the RN to support patient care in the perioperative setting.
• Upholds Nemours standards of behavior and professional values.
• Engages in ongoing education and departmental meetings as required.
• Maintains basic computer skills and appropriate documentation.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
