Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Ontario is seeking a part-time Certified Surgical Technologist to join the OB department. You will support surgical procedures during the night shift and assist with patient care and administrative duties within the unit.

The role requires CST certification and BLS, with responsibilities spanning patient care, rooming, chart setup, vitals, newborn baths, stocking, and clerical duties, under RN supervision.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA or TS-C by NCCT.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers from AHA/ARC/Military Training Network at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist during overnight C-sections by preparing and setting up procedures.
• Support and communicate with surgical teams and supervisory staff.
• Room patients, set up charts, take vitals, bathe newborns, stock the unit.
• Serve as Unit Clerk and Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver patient care.
