Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Ontario OB Department is hiring a part-time Certified Surgical Technologist to join their team for night shift coverage from 7pm to 7am. The role includes assisting with perioperative procedures, rooming patients, and supporting the surgical team in obstetrics as needed.

The position offers day-one benefits, potential sign-on incentives, and 24 hours per week with weekend/holiday work possible.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by NBSTSA or as a Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C) by NCCT is required.
• Basic Life Support for healthcare providers certification (AHA/ARC or Military Training Network) required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and preparation of surgical procedures for overnight c-sections under RN supervision.
• Provide direct communication and support to surgical teams and supervisory staff.
• Room patients, set up charts, take vitals, assist with patient care, and function as Unit Clerk and CNA as needed.
