Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support obstetrical operations in the Labor and Delivery OR. You will handle instruments, supplies, and equipment, anticipate surgeon needs, and maintain a sterile field to ensure patient safety.

Requirements include a Surgical Technologist training program, high school diploma (or GED), and relevant OR experience; BCLS is required on hire, with NRP preferred. This role reports to the Operating Room team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program.
• 1 year previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist.
• 3 years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Preferred

Responsibilities

• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during obstetrical operations in the Operating Room of the Labor and Delivery unit.
• Understand the procedure and anticipate the surgeon's needs.
• Maintain sterile field and ensure quality patient care during operative procedures.
• Perform patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse.
