Job summary

• 1 year previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist Required
• 3 years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting Required

• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment during obstetrical operations in the Operating Room located in the Labor and Delivery unit; anticipate the surgeon's needs and maintain quality patient care.
• Perform patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse and ensure sterility throughout operative procedures.

He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly vigilant for maintenance of the sterile field. Performs patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse.
