Job summary

UP Health System - Portage, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an OB RN to deliver compassionate maternity care. You’ll provide bedside nursing, medication administration, and education to patients and families in a high‑performing obstetric unit.

We value collaboration, patient advocacy, and continuous learning, with a 12‑hour shift pattern (7-7) including nights first, and scheduled holidays. A Michigan RN license and nursing degree are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license held and maintained.
• Associate degree in nursing; bachelor’s preferred.
• BLS-HCP certification required; OB specialty supportive.
• NRP/AWHONN/EFM/STABLE/PEOP certifications within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including meds, specimens, treatments.
• Documents care provided and communicates patient status.
• Monitors and reports patient condition to care team and family.
• Assists with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Coordinates transfer, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial needs.
• Provides patient/family education appropriate to age and culture.
