Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Surgical Technologist training program
• 1 year previous operating room experience as a Surgical/Delivery Room Technologist
• 3 years of experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting

Responsibilities

• Handle instruments, supplies and equipment during obstetrical operations in the Labor and Delivery OR.
• Act as scrub person and maintain sterile field.
• Assist with room setup and draping, instrument passing.
• Maintain highest standard of sterile technique.
• Perform patient care duties under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Prepare case carts and order supplies.
• Support licensed staff by performing delegated treatments.
• Position patients and provide comfort and safety.
