Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking an OB Surgical Technician to assist obstetric teams in the Labor and Delivery OR. You will prepare patients and equipment, maintain sterile fields, and scrub during Cesarean sections and other OB procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Certification as Surgical Technologist and BLS-HCP required.
• Experience in OB/GYN OR settings preferred.
• Excellent teamwork and patient-care skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Labor and Delivery OR for cases and maintain sterile field.
• Scrub during Cesarean sections and obstetrical procedures.
• Handle supplies, instruments, and equipment and ensure stock levels.
• Assist nursing staff with deliveries and patient transfers.
• Record patient data and assist with routine tests.
