Job summary

Infor in Michigan seeks a dedicated Surgical Technician to assist physicians in obstetrical emergencies, providing scrub services in the Birth Center OR and preparing delivery tables.

Responsibilities include instrument prep, sterilization prep, post-discharge room restocking, and supporting patient care in recovery and nursery settings. Strong communication and reliability required; BLS certification preferred; MI licensure advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and BLS certified.
• Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program and certified within 12 months of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide scrub services in Birth Center operating room.
• Prepares and tears down delivery tables for vaginal deliveries.
• Responsible for the preparation of instruments for sterilization.
• Prepares and restocks LDRP rooms after discharge.
• Assists with patient care especially in the recovery phase and in nursery for healthy newborns.
• Assists with the collection and transportation of specimens.
• Assists with directing visitors, answers phone, assembling charts and tears them down after discharge.
