Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking a BSN Nursing Instructor to join Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA. The instructor will provide clinical site education for students in the Workforce Solutions program, with hours varying by rotation and lab needs.

Candidates should have OB specialty experience, CA BRN instructor eligibility, and a graduate or near-graduate nursing education background. Full-time with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Valid California RN license in good standing.
• Eligible for CA BRN Instructor approval for relevant specialties.
• Master’s degree in nursing or education, or related academic preparation.
• BSN and enrollment in a Master’s program may be considered.
• Minimum four years RN direct patient care; recent clinical teaching valued.
• Expertise in Mental Health, Med-Surg, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, L&D, or Critical Care.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical site education for students per established curriculum.
• Teach in skills lab and clinical settings across day/evening/weekend rotations.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experiences with assigned facilities.
• Evaluate student performance against defined clinical learning outcomes.
• Maintain accurate attendance, check-off forms, and program data.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs.
• Observe, instruct, and evaluate students using best methods.
• Pursue ongoing improvement of instruction quality.
• Incorporate online activities to enhance course content/material.
• Submit required program reports to Academic Site Director timely.
• Stay current with innovative technologies and safety regulations.
• Participate in nursing program committees and meetings.
• Provide accessible student communication through office hours and other channels.
• Other duties as assigned.
