Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking a BSN Nursing Instructor to join our team in conjunction with our Workforce Solutions partner, Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA.

We are looking for individuals with Pediatrics specialty experience. The BSN Nursing Instructor will provide Clinical site education to students enrolled at the assigned Workforce Development Program site. Hours vary based on clinical rotation and/or skills lab course.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid, unencumbered license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• Eligible for approval by CA BRN as Instructor for Medical-Surgical, OB, Pediatrics, Mental Health, Community Health, or Geriatrics.
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
• BSN and currently enrolled in a Master’s program may be considered for a Clinical Teaching Assistant
• Minimum four-years’ experience as a registered nurse with direct patient care in the last five years
• One-year experience teaching nursing courses or coursework including teaching practice
• Expertise in nursing areas such as Mental Health, Medical-Surgical, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, L&D, Community Health, or Critical Care

Responsibilities

• Provide Clinical site education to students in the Workforce Development Program.
• Hours vary based on clinical rotation and/or skills lab course.
• Plan and supervise student clinical experience in assigned facilities.
• Evaluate student performance against clinical learning outcomes.
• Provide timely feedback on clinical performance.
• Maintain accurate student records and attendance data.
• Ensure clinical assignments meet student and facility needs.
• Observe, instruct, and evaluate students effectively.
• Explore online activities to enhance course content and delivery.
• Submit program reports to the Academic Site Director on time.
• Keep current with safety regulations and instructional technologies.
• Participate in committee activities and attend faculty meetings.
• Provide access to students through office hours or other communication methods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
